Biographie

I work in Berlin. My passion in Mime Theatre began early in school where I explored with facial expressions and pantomime from an early age.

I completed the Mime / Physical Theatre education at “Die Etage Berlin” from 2015 to 2018, here I worked with artist such as Lionel Menard, Evgeny Kozlov, Dzidek Starczynowski and Anke Gerber. I develop my expression of nonverbal art and musical interplay in a new contemporary way.

The curiousity in creating new forms of theatre are developing and keeps my work going. My work of performances combines experimental mime that is expressed through choreography, improvisation and physical theater forms that lie at the interface of dance, performance and contemporary art.

Jannis Eggelsmann is since 2019 professional physical theatre / mime artist, teacher and director from Berlin, a performer and researcher in the field of performing arts who develops non-verbal stories from pantomime. His style combines experimental pantomime with choreography, improvisation and physical-movment theatre forms that lie at the intersection of dance and performance.

Throug mastering of technical and creating a story through my body, I create shows throu minimal imaginary impulses and combine Urban Style elements just like Popping/ Waving and Physical illusionary impulses.
